I have metal trunk on our 1928 Phaeton, it is bolted to the rack. We got a new trunk with leather straps with buckles, Do I still bolt this trunk to the rack? A still bolt it to the rack? Jim, "the ole broommaker"

Went to visit a fellow yesterday, which had 3 cyl. heads for sale. I took my scraper with me and cleaned the heads for an inspection. All three had the same crack, located at the #1 stud to the water passage. Is this pretty common?:confused: Jim

:oFellers, I replaced the fan blade on our 28 Phaeton last summer, with the water pump off, this is where I screwed up:confused: in replacing the water pump, I used #1 permatex to replace the pump, now it's contrary, can't get it off, wanting to replace the cyl. head gasket. Any idea's, sure...

We got the timing set dead on, new set of points, purrs like a kitten. A couple days later started backfiring, don't idle good at all and when you acccelarate it wants to backfire bad. It has a Tilly Model x carb, I removed it everything looked good except the flange to the manifold was warped...

;)While working on the instrument panel on the Model A, I keep skinning my shins on the edge of the running board. I went to Lowe's yesterday and picked up a piece of 1" foam insulation, it's cut on one side from one end to the other, slipped it over the edge of the running board. I can now work...

:eek:Found a crack in our 2 blade fan, on the pulley side, 3/8" to 1/2" long. Replaced the blade this morning, Snyder's sent me one, check those blades, blade cheaper than a hood and radiator and no telling what else...:D Jim Norris :):)

Put my guitar in the back of our 1928 Model A Phaeton and drove to the senior citizen's center to entertain the folks before lunch, A fine day for the open touring car with the temperture at 75 degrees here in western Kentucky.
