    Hypothetically painting

I'm pretty sure it is not legal, but the plates were already altered with hard to see black and grey that looks like it had been done a long time ago. Should I just switch my plates to another set?

    Hypothetically painting

If I were to hypothetically repaint my license plates, where would I get a yellow that is similar to the one used on the letters? And what product do you recommend?

Mating engine and trans 352 cruisomatic

My 352 was rebuilt and now i am mating it in my garage to the rebuilt cruisomatic. I made triple sure my torque converter was on all sets of splines and the trans slid right up with no gap so an unset tc shouldn't be the problem. My issue is that I can spin the engine only about to halfway...

    power steering pump rebuild question

I rebuilt my power steering pump but unfortunately didn't pay attention to which way the big gear in the center went. It is slightly curved to one side (seems to push fluid better like a paddle) so my thinking id that the curved side (not the rounded side) would go so that it works when the...

289 to 351W swap 1963 flacon platform Tremec swap

I am looking to do a swap on a future ranchero project from an original 289 to a 351w with cleveland heads. I am wondering if the mounts will be similar enough to bolt up the new mounts to the og. spots and drop in the 351. Has anyone on here done the swap? Any clearance issues in the...

    1963 Ranchero prospects

My first car was a beat up daily driver 1960 Ranchero with a 144 i6 and a three on the tree with finicky linkage (weren't they all). I fell in love with the early 60's body style and want to do a more high performance Ranchero in the near future. I remember that the rear suspension barely...

1941 Ford Pickup frame-off restore for the next generation

Why did you use an alternate frame? Was your's too far gone? I'll also mention that I'm very jealous... hope to find a 40 truck in the near future. Looks great and good luck!

    Rear drum options

I am rebuilding the rear drums on my 1963 galaxie. My question is about the return spring setup. Most of the pictures I see online shoe a return spring hooked to a bracket and from there a cable goes to the post at the top. Now, when i took mine apart, this was not the setup. Both side were the...

fe 352 water pump. need help!

I went with GMB eo water pump, they said it fit a 1963 with a 390 so I figured it would work. Still confused though because it didn't say 1963 352 but it DID say 1965 352. If only Ford's engines were as simple as chevy's.

**HELP** 62' continental column shifter stuck?

Automatic? Was the linkage movable when it was disconnected from the trans? What kind of shape is the linkage in (bent?)

    **PLEASE HELP**1962 Lincoln Radiator replacement

Aluminum radiators DO work better not necessarily due to the design of the radiator but actually due to the characteristics of the aluminum atom. Aluminum is a terrible absorber of heat, meaning it will not get as hot. This is the same reason you can put aluminum foil in the over for a long time...

fe 352 water pump. need help!

I have a 352 fe in my 1963 galaxie. All info i find says that the water pumps came in two versions only. A high flow and standard. For aftermarket they seem to all be high flow but I am finding an issue with the year. All info I find on fe blocks say that they ran from 58 to the 70's. But when I...

1963 galaxie fenders why can I not get them off?

I've triple checked all the fender bolts are out, the bumper brackets aren't in the way, nothing is holding onto it but I cant get them to come off. They are wiggling all around but won't come off. Don't tell me you have to take the doors off or something. Help!
