    leaky fuel pump

I rebuilt the original fuel pump about a year ago and all works well. Problem occurs after it sits for extended periods, the pump leaks around the diaphragm a lot and I have to tighten the the screws down. I'm guessing that it is from the diaphragm drying out between uses, can't imagine the...

    38 tonner rear end progress

Just opened up the Timken rear end, found that it was full of water(no liquid lube detected just crust). First thought it was scrap but took out the ring assembly and power washed it. Looks better than imagined but there is some pitting on the teeth and the bearings are stuck on each end...

in need of 38 one ton brake info

Now I'm confused, I thought my 38 one ton had 14" drums but when I I measured the front it comes out 12" and 1.75 width shoes. I have not pulled apart the Timken rear end yet but the drums definitely look bigger. Any thoughts???

    timken rear end

Starting to get nervous, can't find much info on a 1938 one ton rear end. I was about to pull off the cap to check condition and it sure feels like something's being supported by the cap. Anyone know about this kind of rear, I'm thinking of just closing and grease the Hell out of it.

1938 thick walled rear main bearing

I am in need of a .010 rear main bearing, specifically a 68-6331-L. The block bore is 2.670 and the crank is 2.399. This is not the standard bearing most 38's use, already have a set of those that don't fit.

    1938 engine bearing troubles

I'm starting to wonder if the "1938 original 221 one ton" is correct. The crank journals measure 2.4" but the bearings i bought to replace are way too thin though the internal measurement seems right. I measured the piston bore and came up with 3.187 which is close to a 39 Mercury. The outside...
