Looking for Bratton’s 1560T rear hub bearing seating tool, or current substitute.

Is using a spring spreader highly recommended? Have some concern with, Widow-maker, nickname. Current rear shocks showing some decline. If not competing are modern tube shocks considered a fully functional alternative.

Need the name for the oval rods that are bolted to each rear backing plates and meet under the transmission. In effect a triangle formed with the rear axle.

Probably an odd question. Is a spark adjustment rod touching the motor head a problem? Should seem a problem transferring hear to the distributor.

Looking for infrared thermometer recommendations. Besides checking the usual bloc, head, coolant, tailpipe, also want to see if a basic motormeter red line length can be usefully linked to coolant temp. Thanks, Hoffman (1931 Town Sedan w/ Sch. Rebuilt)
