I have a 53 mainline 239 with the stock 3 speed transmission and stock overdrive. I drained the ****** and have refilled it and noticed a "fill plug" on the side of the overdrive but no drain plug. Do the ****** and overdrive in a stock set up share the ****** oil? Thanks, Kevin

I'm new to the V8 flatheads. I picked up a 53 Ford Mainline 239 and was curious what a good rpm would be for highway driving. It runs at 2500 rpm @ 65 mph. Is this pushing the 239 too hard? It has the stock engine, 3 in the tree ****** (with overdrive) and the stock rear end.

Ugh, I hate electrical stuff... I converted my Mainline from 6V+ to 12V-. Everything works perfect except for the horn. The car was rewired and has a modern fuse box. I can get power from the fuse box no problem, but how to I wire it so the steering wheel horn button works?

I bought hood insulation for my 53 mainline from Mac's and it appears to be fiberglass on the hood side. It came with no instructions... How does one attach it? It looks like there are remnants of glue on the hood from the original, how would you glue fiberglass to metal?
