Have you ever seen an oil pump spring attatched to the oil pan instead of the pump? Seen one today. The spring seemed shorter than the ones I have seen attached to the pump.

I drive my 1930 Coupe in lots of parades and I dress it up with red, white & blue and lots of flags. I am trying to figure out a good way to attach two small flags to the quail cap. In the past I have tied them on with bread loaf ties but, that is not stable. Any ideas? Thanks!
