OCMAFC 55 Pancake Breakfast

Nice turnout of Cars. We arrived about 9:00am. It did start raining about 10:10am and we left. I didn't do a count but I'd guess 100 cars were there. I didn't take photos but I did shoot some Hi Def Video.

the OCMAFC Pancake Breakfast turned out very nice. Broken clouds and blue sky from 6am until after 10am. A 15 minute sprinkle of rain at about 10: 30am followed by broken clouds. Sunshine and warming after 1:30am. Really a nice day "Model A Weather". As far as I know there were no Model A's dissolving in the rain!" You missed a good event and we missed you!
A few pictures follow:
enjoy, Don

I arrived around 7 AM after a 45 minute drive. I took surface streets most of the way, then got on the freeway for the last 5 miles. I lucked out when I arrived and got to park next to Gary Karr's beautiful 1929 Tudor. On the other side of Gary's car was Jeff Moody's 1929 Station Wagon. Jeff's car has a great looking outside patina, but underneath it has been completely rebuilt. Shortly after arriving, John Frazee and Bruce Howe pulled up in their restored Panel Deliveries.
The weather was better than expected. No rain until a little after 10am and then it was only light rain for around one hour.
Model A attendance was down, I'm sure because of the threat of rain. A lot of people came in modern cars.
The OCMAFCA club, as always did a fine job.

Smaller turnout then previous year but still a great show and it rained (barely can call it rain) for about 30 minutes and then a little drizzle.

My son and grandson came to the event, so I did not take as many pictures this year. Hopefully others will post pictures that they took.

1960, it looked to be an original 83k mile car. Bought it last August from Arizona, it's the girlfriends car and she loves it. It's a well optioned car that came from Ebay of all places, I took a gamble because the price was so good.

The car is a 31 Victoria steel back that has been highly modified. It has a solid steel roof, a 32 gas tank in the back, with a cowl vent where the original tank was. The doors have been reversed and it has a 32 grill. The license plate reads 31duece.

Wish I could have attended. It looks like a good time and a nice variety of cars. I was wondering who made the ice cream bike, because I bought a bike last year at an auction because of the very heavy duty spokes and front drum brake. Turns out it's a WORKSMAN bike, and they build industrial bikes like what Boeing would use in the large hangers, etc. They also built the ice cream bikes used years ago. The company started building bikes in 1898.

That's a very nice looking Lark wagon. Right now the Studebaker museum has a 1954 Conestoga wagon up on ebay. Sure wish I had a place for it, and the money to buy it. This was the first year for Studebaker station wagons.
