Ford Australia Model A Newspaper Ads

I stumbled across various Australian ford ads looking through old newspapers on the national library of australia website: http://trove.nla.gov.au/ The site actually reads the newspaper photocopies, so you can search Ford, or 1929 Ford etc and it can find ads in pages (when you search options will appear on the left side of the page, articles is the main area, and you can select decade/year of publication.), as well as ads for other makes. Not overly user friendly, but you get the hang of it eventually. Quality varies.

I've also attached PDFs large enough to read the text if anyone is curious.

And some more, some Ford, some from dealers. I forgot to post the Phaeton one as a pdf first time round, but I've found a clearer copy now. Apologies for not naming the previous pdfs.

Great stuff Jim. The Geelong Plant was a major world Ford set up which Ford Canada put a lot of money & expertise into.
They made most of the 1930-'32 coachwork there [ Fordor, Spt Coupe, Rdstr & Touring] & put wooden framing behind the earlier Canadian panel skins.
Most of those adverts were in a book by Ian Irwin from the 1970's
An open Utility 1930 '31 must be one of the most interesting Model A's ever produced.

There were no 31's in Australia, they were 30's that were sold in 31. The open utes were produced in 28 and 29 and late T's as well. I have a 29 open ute, the body was not made by Ford, but produced by a coach builder and sold through Ford agencies, and also had Ford body numbers. My ute is a 304 well side utility, and there were 303 flare side utilities, 301 commercial sample utilities, 305 flat top utilities etc.
