I would imagine that European women would cope with driving a Model A Ford as well as most European men and better than a lot of people in the USA. Why? That's simple, we still grow up with manual cars, automatic gearboxes are available on small cars but in general they are found in luxury cars. Most countries differentiate between licences for manual gearboxes and automatic only. If you pass a UK auto driving test you are not licenced to drive manual cars, if you pass the manual test you are licenced to drive everything. Very few people take the auto test as it restricts their choice in the future.
Sexual stereotyping is dangerous as well. We have been shown the photograph of the female pilot but my example is a bit more down to earth. At the back of my barn we've got a small Suzuki quad bike. When my children were young my daughter used it far more than either of my sons. Even now she is the only one who asks if she can get it out and use it. All three children love the Model A equally. My farming neighbour displays her high levels of skill when using a variety of agricultural machinery on a daily basis.
