My mom drove our Station Wagon in the 70's quite frequently. It seems Dad thought a VW would be a good second car. The VW spent a lot of time in the shop, so Mom was often seen driving the A around town for a couple of years.
My wife has driven it once, but she has been reluctant to get behind the wheel. Next time Dad is out, maybe I will pair them up on a driving lesson. Dad is a good teacher and I think my wife would be more comfortable getting more experience without me in the car.
