If you have the battery hooked up for NEGATIVE GROUND, the DIODE Cut out will not work.


The Model A is designed with a POSITIVE GROUND electrical system.


Install the battery so it is POSITIVE GROUND and see if that corrects the problem.


You should re-polarize the generator after you re-install the battery.

That "Made in Japan" cutout is not for Model A. I think the blue wire connects to the input terminal on the right side where we can't see it. The one in back must be the output. Replace the cutout. Mac's has a 6V neg ground diode cutout for model T, #16-55738-1. modeltford.com also sells them with built in regulators.
