    Transporting with no rear

I'm starting to think about pulling the engine, trans and rear end out of my tudor this fall. The plan is to rebuild the items over the winter. I will need to flatbed the car to another location for winter storage with out those three items in the car. Anyone have some ideas what I can do for...

    Head chambers CC's

In addition to engine component balancing, I was wondering if the cc displacement of the head chambers are ever checked for consistency between cylinders. Also another thing to check could be TDC piston deck height. I guess these could be considered splitting hairs but maybe could result in a...

    Re-winding horn field coils?

Assuming the correct guage wire is used, what's more important, the number of turns or the total length of wire used? I can either duplicate the number of turns that the old horn field coil had or measure the wire length that the old coil had and duplicate that length with no regard to the...

Marvel idle jet nozzle removal ?

I'd like to remove the idle jet nozzle from my Marvel carb body to insure a good clean out and to level the bowl gasket surface. There isn't much info available on these carbs. Has any one ever removed this jet before? Does it just un-screw? Many thanks.

    Leaky Gas Guage

I thought it would be a 10 minute job to replace the gaskets. Then I see at 10:00 and at 4:00 on the gasket surface why it was leaking. 4:00 looks like it rotted but it looks like someone did that 10:00. But why? I'm not coming up with an easy solution. What's your fix idea?

    Tudor front seat cups

I noticed that the seat cups, that are under and at the rear of the front seats, are available in 3/4" and 1 1/4" heights. I guess the 3/4" will position the seat leaning back more. Which height was original? Which height do you prefer on a Tudor? Thanks.

"B" drive shaft in "A" torque tube for F150

I'm doing a F150 transmission conversion and I have to shorten my "A" drive shaft. Then I got the idea, why not just cut and weld a "B"drive shaft. Is the "B" shaft superior compared to an "A" because of it's larger diameter main tube? Any reason why it wouldn't work? What do yall think? Thanks.

    steering column bracket

I just installed the later column bracket, from Snyder's, on a '30 tudor and it was a piece of cake. No spacer adapter was needed. The two mounting bolts lined up with the existing holes and was mounted with 1/4" x 1" bolts. Using the bracket as a template, the third hole had to be drilled and...

    Adjusting EZ-steer teflon kit

I'm installing Snyder's EZ-steer teflon kit. The instructions state that the springs should be tightened 25%. The springs free length is 1.000". So, do I tighten it till the spring is .750" long? The spring will coil bind at .735". Does this sound right? You may think that I'm over thinking...
