1950 Tudor new front brake drums

If I want to install new front drums, is there a way to separate the drum from the hub, then install a new drum with new studs, with home tools? Nothing in the "Green Book" about this. I don't want to damage the hubs as they are hard to find. Thanks in advance.

    New manufactured coolant pump question

The impeller to housing clearance is .003" on the Ford pump. It's .050" on the new one. See photo. Just wondering if this will affect the flow and how.

    8ba cooling question

Could the crossover pipe and manifold heat valve make the left bank run 8 to 10 degrees hotter than the right? Stats are tested and system in proper shape afaik. Also, how should the weight be orientated when the valve is open? Are the arm and butterfly in the same plane? Thanks.

Bleed down on vacuum advance question

The first new vacuum advance control sent for my stock 8ba loadamatic distributor would not hold vacuum when applied by an Actron hand vacuum pump. A replacement was sent and I pump it to 15# and it slowly bleeds down to 0 in about 15 seconds. Is that acceptable?

    Holley 94 question

On a long smooth slight incline, my stock 8BA, with Ford Holley can start to stumble like it's not getting fuel. I flip on the auxilliary electric fuel pump and the issue instantly goes away. Otherwise she runs perfect. This happened before and after I rebuilt the carb, which is in great shape...

    Help. '50 gauge cluster issue

The fuel, oil, and temp. gauges quit on my '50 Tudor. This (see pics) can mounted behind the cluster, wired inline with the ignition to gauges feed burned out. Is it an adjustable circuit breaker? I find no reference to it anywhere. I made a crude repair. Questions, What is it? ? Is it needed...

    Seat cushion springs query 1950

Apparently, the front seat springs are of the sinuous type and the rear seat is the higher grade coil springs (see photos). Just wondering if anyone knows exactly why? Was the back seat actually meant to be more comfy? Or more likely, easier to make the adjustable front with sinuous spring...

    '50 reversed license plate bracket?

Saw a '50 with the rear plate bracket upside down, which drops the plate a bit. Does anyone know if this was a "thing" maybe to make the car appear lower?

    BA9s LED's don't fit

I bought two different BA9s LED bulbs in hopes of brightening up my '50 gauge cluster. Seems the retaining pins are too short and the bulbs will not anchor in the sockets. What am I doing wrong? Might try wrapping the bases in thin copper sheet.
