Holley 94 question

On a long smooth slight incline, my stock 8BA, with Ford Holley can start to stumble like it's not getting fuel. I flip on the auxilliary electric fuel pump and the issue instantly goes away. Otherwise she runs perfect. This happened before and after I rebuilt the carb, which is in great shape. Set the float to spec. per this forum's suggestions. Mechanical fuel pump is up to snuff. Clear plastic filter clean, etc. Any ideas? Thanks.

Put a little stronger spring in the fuel pump. Have you checked the checked manual fuel pump pressure. I have heard that newer fuel pumps have weaker springs and when changing fuel pumps they are using the old springs. JMHO Jim T.

Thanks. My pump, which also has the vacuum booster, checked out on the capacity test, but I should do a pressure test. The "squirts" did seem a little weak when filling the bottle on cranking.
