This is a 1954 239 with a 57 dist. car started missing bad last time out, had to be towed home. replaced dist cap and rotor. points and condenser, plug wires and plugs.coil also replaced.. no help looks like weak spark. I am out of ideas.

Anyone have a picture of the water deflector that goes between the two uprights on the floor. It looks like its 18 inches back from the edge of rumble seat floor. It looks like this should be screwed to the upright and welded to the floor.

My 36 is due for a clutch replacement. It's had clutch chatter problems for a while. I would like to have the flywheel resurfaced at the same time . This has the lip on the clutch side . can they resurface it with this lip. what are the pros and cons of removing this lip.

I have a 51 merc motor that would be a very easy rebuild. No cracks and very little cylinder wear. This motor has the 4 inch crank. Would i be better off rebuilding this or use this crank in a ford block for a stroker motor. I am planning on using this in my 50 f1 pickup with a 5 speed.
