i'm ready to reasemble my 53- 255flatty (canadian54)everything seems to be strate forward except crank caps alignment . there is movement in the caps . how do i know when there on straight. also some use lock washers and or lock tite i never did ... lorne ps my 55 crown is working great...

my 55 crown victoria is 3 on the tree, to install a power steering box wich i have will bolt directly on the frame but i have to move shifter to the floor is there a special shifter or can i get one at any swap meet

my 54 crestline flatty is 6v positive ground i have one wire altinator and 12v battery and coil how do i reverse positive ground at this point im just worried about engine compartment , i'll deal with lights and gauges later

55 crown vic worm gears in steering box are worn out, are the parts still available

272 started making what i thought was a manifold leek, so i poured ****** oil down the carb and the smoke exposed the leek at exhaust manifold wich is now fixed . noise still there i can rev engine 3500 rpm in neutral , NO NOISE then soon as i let clutch out and put motor under load noise...

changed lower rad hose and put 4 gallons anti freeze, now doesn't seem to be circulating is there an easy way to get air out ???

Paul i installed mustang dual master cylinder in 54 crestline ,bolts in nicely rad shop down the street will clean gas tank for $180.-220. so i'll try vinigar first do you know if 54 crestline front drums are the same as 55 fairlane i still haven't received an answer from anyone if front bench...

my 54 crestline has been sitting since 96 and gas has evaperated pretty ugly inside i put nuts and bolts to swish around is there a strong chemical that will help ????

i'm putting Y block back in my car , when i turn crank with a wrench i hear starter is engaged , so i hooked up battery and cranked motor and drive stays in flywheel will it kick out when i start motor or is there something wrong thx

55 ford pressure plate torque specs 6 bolt does 12 to 15 ft lbs sound about right
