Thanks to all, Head Gaskets it was !!!

Really need help on this... Just cranked my overhauled 239 today for first time... Put in antifreeze, then a little water, started her up and started to add water to radiator as she purred like a kitten... looked good, sounded good, then I felt like it was taking to much water to fill it...

I've been told I can use a chevy s10 master and booster in my 54. I have disc in front and drums in rear so was told the s10 proportioning valve is internal and doesn't need adjustment. Is this correct? Has anybody done this, if so, any problems or is there a better way to go. If tyhis is agood...

Need more help... This 6 Volt TO 12 Volt electrical stuff is killing me !!! Will the 6 Volt convertible top up/down switch and top up/down relay work for 12 Volts...??? Also, are the existing 6 Volt breakers, temperature/oil pressure sending units and all other switches good for 12...
