    Master cut off switch installation

A lot of people recommend an additional ground cable to the transmission housing. If you have that then you'd have to do it at the starter, correct?

    Engine Serial Numbers as VIN

How common is it to not have an engine number? Ours doesn't have one.

    Fuel Sediment Bulb 1930

I had to replace the inside fuel line on my 1930 Roadster. It has the glass fuel sediment bulb. I had a heck of a time getting it to not leak at the connection from the inside fuel line to the sediment bulb assembly and ultimately I think what was causing the problem was that the new fuel line...

Several people mention adding STP. When you say STP, which STP product are you referring to?

    Inner Wheel Bearing Stuck

After cleaning it all off, you can see it looks like little dimple marks were impressed on the spindle all the way around. I ended up rubbing it with emory cloth and was able to get the new one on. Thank you for all your help.

    Inner Wheel Bearing Stuck

I couldn't figure out how to remove the wedge bolt, so I went ahead and removed the four bolts and was able to then pry the bearing loose. It did get a little bent. However, now I have the issue of the new bearing, even though it seems to be the same size is so tight that I don't see how I'm...

To take the backing plate off, do I remove the four hex bolts surrounding the spindle?

    Inner Wheel Bearing Stuck

Thanks for all the advice. I tried two screwdrivers on either side and I tried heating it with a heat gun, to no avail. I also noticed, as was mentioned earlier, when I first took it off that discoloration that didn't seem to be the original color of the grease and wondered if something was...

    Inner Wheel Bearing Stuck

I had all the wheels removed to have them painted and to get new tires and decided to try to pack the wheel bearings while they were off. It's my first time trying this. The left side came loose pretty easily with just a little nudge from a screwdriver, but on the right side I cannot removed the...

    Greasing front wheel bearings, thanks!

1955cj5, Thanks, I will try to take pictures. I pulled both hubs off already and gave them a quick clean and fresh paint. I'll post some pics when I get back out there. I was hoping it would have warmed up a little more by now. I was confused by the 5 pounds of torque. I hadn't read that...

    Greasing front wheel bearings, thanks!

Can you elaborate? I'm about to do this for the first time also. Also, are there any other things I should be checking/doing during this process?

I was wondering the same thing with regards to etiquette. I joined the forum a few months ago and did post a question, but never introduced myself or the car. Ours is a 1930 Roadster. It appears to be Washington Blue with Cream wheels and cream striping that was hand-painted by my...
