    1940 Bombardier B7 Snowmobile

1940 Bombardier B7 snowmobile. I know, not a Ford, but between 1937 and 1943 Bombardier built 154 of these machines. All of them came with the flat head Ford V-8. Some before 1940 had floor shifts, all later ones had column shift. Bombardier used 1934 Ford steering columns and 38 Ford...

    Baffle tube

Posting for a friend. Looking for another baffle tube (the tube that goes around the fuel pump push rod). This would be for the cast intake. Also looking for the upper and lower clamp that holds the shift column to the steering column on the 1940 Ford. Thanks all for the help.

    Flat Head oil tube

Looking for the oil tube that goes around the shaft that drives the fuel pump. It is the one that us under the intake manifold. I believe this just diverts the oil directly to the pan, rather than spreading it out over the camshaft galley area.----thanks, Frank

Don't miss seeing the Lombard Steam Powered Log Hauler

Walt, I think the Lombards you are referring to are at the Lumbermans Museum in Patton, Maine. I was there about 10 years ago and I think they have 3 of them. I believe they were up in the Allagash region of Maine between Chamberlain and Eagle Lakes. I don't know if you have ever been up to...

    Gas additive's

Go to your local air field with a gas can and get 5 gallons on 100 octaine low lead airplane fuel. Drain out the crap gas in your tank, put the 100 in, start it up and run for 15 minutes, shut it off and store it. No need for any additives. 100 octaine has a shelf life of 3 years.

    Props to Macs....

One the other hand, I had ordered a new carb for my 40 and it leaked bad so they said they would ship another one. In the meantime I took the one that leaked and soaked it in gas, tightend up a couple of screws that were not real tight and put it on and it worked fine. I had receive the...

    Oil filter

Looking to add a remote oil filter to my 1940 flat head. Need to make sure I plumb this thing right. There is a port to the left and right of the oil sending unit. I assume one is a retrun, but not sure which one. Viewing from the back of the block there is one to the left of the sending unit...
