If it is 52"s long as "V" belts are measured then go to an industrial supply house or large farm type hardware store. There are 4 or 5 grades or types even some with cogs. Buy a good grade "B" belt, one for industrial use. I'm lucky when in Pa. to have a large farm hardware store that has 10 rows of belts 100' long up over head. I take a pole with a hook on it and select a belt, go out side and try it and find one that fits perfect. A lot of belts I bought from old Ford parts dealers DON"T fit right. Some I could get on by loosening the generator real loose and tilt the generator, force the belt on and tilt the generator back up straight by force. Now the generator is down low and the belt tighter than it should be. The belt should have between 1/2" and 3/4" flex or play in the flat area between the water pump and generator. I believe the Ford recommended play is 1" but find that a little loose with Skips high flow pumps. And it will loosen up a little in 100 miles. Some will say the angle is not exacty the same as the ford belt but believe me they work. The 52" length sounds long. I think some types of belts are measured by ID and some are measured in about the center of the side of the "V" where it rides on the pulley. There's a name for this point but it won't come out, just popped up, "pitch diameter". G.M.
