I am getting conflicting info about replacing the gear on the rear axle in my 1931 Model A. I am new to model As and the club. I took the rear end apart and pulled the axles out. It doesn't look like the gear is removable from the axle? I need to replace the axles? Thanks Dan

Disassembled my 1931 A engine today. Looking for opinions which way to go back together, Babbiitt or inserts on the crank mains and rods? Anyone out thier changed to insert with the cost of inserts and machine work vs pouring Babbitt? Thank You Dan

Restoring a 31 Coupe with rumble seat. My top (shortest) rear spring is broken, rest look good. Just wondering if there would be an issue running without the one leaf ? Would appreciate any opinion. Thanks

Just took my frame to the weld shop. My front cross member was so bad metal was missing where the spring attaches to the cross member. Thanks to you all for the good advise. Not planning on a show car just a good looker to drive around for fun. Will start shopping to find one and probable bolt it in. I think a tight fit AN bolt (aircraft grade) would do.

As you can see by the pictures mine was really bad. There was a big piece missing so I ground out the area to weld a new piece in. I may shop around for a used one.

I have read on here that to remove the door handle on my 1931 Model A coupe it says turn handle 1/8 th turn counter clockwise. My handles won't turn counterclockwise wise. What do I do?
