Square nut vs Hex nut...which one is it?

I don't think that anything could be better than original factory photos.
No present day "A" Model owner, REALLY knows if his or her gastank has been changed in the last 85 years.

Yea i REALLY dont doubt my grandpa or great grandpa had to take the tank out for one reason or another... Notice the farmer fix battery tray in the engine compartment?

Dec. 1927 Lt. Delivery has hex head bolts and square nuts. I reused the originals when I restored the A.

Remember Steve Ciccalone told Mike to change the nuts to square on the Sp. Coupe when we were together a few years ago.

Either one, or both might be correct. One factory might have used hex nuts and another factory might have had millions of square nuts, left over from the "T" days. ???????
