What is this?

I'm new to the FordBarn forum and Model A's. I recently retired and decided I needed a new hobby, so I sold my old fishing boat (never was a good fisherman) and purchased a 1930 Model A Tudor. Let the fun begin!

While the body seems to be in good repair, the drive train probably needs work. I was fortunate to find one of the original owners who found the car after it had been sitting in a garage for over 20 years, and he shared with me all the work he did...but he never had to tear apart the engine or drive train. A lot of clutch chatter will be the first problem I attack.

Here's my first question...what is the disconnected tube in this photo? the original tube was cut off and the fitting remains in the intake manifold.

Bob. that's where the line goes up to the firewall and hooks up for your vacuum windshield wiper. Plug this if you aren't going to use wiper, or you will have vacuum leak . have fun modelAtony lafayette,la
