...what a woman.

I wasn't so lucky with my husband. He insisted I sell my 57 T-Bird so he could use the garage to park his Ranchero. I got rid of him and acquired 5 Model A's since. I still have the T-bird after 47 years.

Uh huh, spunk and good taste(that's a Sport Coupe,eh:))..a great combination! Now don't tell me that you can restore a Model A also:eek: !

If your wife ever "*******" about the time or $$$$ you spend on your "A" Model, ya'll count your blessings. I'd love to have Pat home from her dementia care home to keep me in check.

HEY,
Where have you been? I've been missing your postings!!

I was on the dark side, The Hamba wamba, I passing the days looking for parts, It's a vicious I tell you, recently I bought 3 model a engines and a few rear ends, and other things ha ha. How are you been?

WELL I guess that I have the Best wife ever. When we got married she said we needed a place with a shop big enough for our 4 A'S And the T bird. The second place we looked at had a 36 by 56 mortin building and the rest is history. I'm retired now and working on the four door and she is doing the seats and the rest of the inside. Then will come the roadster pickup. Our dream is to see the USA in a Model A. Wow what a BLESSING when you have God and the right woman in your life.

Not everyone can have that privilege, if you say I go fishing, she says I go, if you go for a ride in car and she also wants to go, or love old cars, wow you have good company!

asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate, painful tirade
listing every problem they had ever had in the years they had been married.

unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured.

If I were to buy another car there would be some thing sitting outside and it won't be the wife's car:rolleyes:

Looking for a warm place to crash for the night in WV.

My wife once said, 'Rather than all these parts it would be better if we just had a Model A that we could drive.'

Well, I took that as permission to buy a driveable Model A. So I bid on a nice '29 Fordor on eBay. Later that week I was working out in the pasture. I had cut down a dead standing tree and was bucking it up and throwing the sections into the front end loader. Just then my wife drove the Explorer onto the pasture and headed right at me. She stopped a couple feet from my knees and said 'Dinner is ready' through the windshield and drove away. This was quite unusual because she had never driven the Explorer onto the pasture before.

Greatful to still have my knees but very perplexed I went to the house to wash before dinner. Noticing that I had a couple minutes before eating I checked my e-mail messages. There was a new message from a guy on eBay saying congratulations for the winning bid on the Fordor but that he was sorry that he had spoiled the surprise for my wife.

It all made sense. While working in the field the auction ended. The guy selling the Fordor called me up to talk about the Fordor that I had just won. My wife answered the phone and the surprise was spoiled. Annoyed that I had gone ahead and bid on the Model A without finalizing plans she had driven out onto the pasture to "express her displeasure". I don't think that she was aiming at my knees but the fact that the bumper ended up a few feet from them made them ache none the less.

For years that Fordor sat in a garage down by the barn and never did see the light of day. It has since been sold to a buddy. I sure hope that he told his wife about it.

I was on this google machine this morning, looking at old Fords on ebay and my wife walked by... I said, "Honey, look at this car... if I had the extra space, (and the extra money) I would bid on this car." "Go ahead!", she said, "We can just park my car out in the driveway. If it makes you happy, do it." Now this, is a good wife.

You're full of crap! LOL!!
