I was on this google machine this morning, looking at old Fords on ebay and my wife walked by... I said, "Honey, look at this car... if I had the extra space, (and the extra money) I would bid on this car." "Go ahead!", she said, "We can just park my car out in the driveway. If it makes you happy, do it." Now this, is a good wife.

I agree with your accessment:D !
BUT....I can hear it now, when she asks you why her car is sitting in the driveway(dirty);
"I know you believe that you understood what you think I said, however I'm sure that you realize NOW that what you thought you heard was not what I meant" :eek:
 
That is a wonderful wife. Whne I hear that form mine that means: Honey, I need someone to add on another closet because shoes are on sale and I need another 40 pair....and maybe 10 outfits to go with them....and it has been 2 months since I had my hair done....I love you. BUT gentlemen, I offer you this. IT IS WORTH IT! Get the car, settle the newly developed imbalance of new stuff, open the garage door so you can see your newest Model A, while you are washing her car a few times a week... and you are both happy!
 
I wasn't so lucky with my husband. He insisted I sell my 57 T-Bird so he could use the garage to park his Ranchero. I got rid of him and acquired 5 Model A's since. I still have the T-bird after 47 years.

I beleive you?? I said to mine of 45 years a few weeks ago . I need to take a mate to the salt & show him his dream, Will you look after the shop for me ?? the reply was Just bring me a Model A driver home in exchange , So i did it & she was still here. However I want you to take me to the North west meet in Boise next july. They are out there but take some training. GOOD ON YOU MATE.

Okay I guess I'm not so perfect after all. After reading this I realized I spoke to to soon... I can't decide if it was the 40 pairs of shoes or the 10 outfits that changed my mind.By the way your wife sounds like a lovely woman and very smart...
 
At a train meet years ago, Ms. Sandy said to me that the yellow train set way over there was nice looking. I hollered across the room "SOLD" not even knowing the price. I still have both of them.
