Torque tube shortening recommendations

AnthonyG, it's going to be a standard hot rod; 30 coupe on a 32 chassis with 8BA, 39 box, TT, 40 rear end, big and littles and fender less.

Mitchell Overdrive was kind enough to cut splines on a solid shaft for me,
might have been around 15 years ago. The turn around time is dependent
on their timing. They do a bunch all at once. Then not.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think that the TT will have to be shortened so much that most leave the bearing out of the tube. Also, thanks for the indexing tips.

The bearing is toward the front and will and should remain.

The attached are reference dimensions and notes from my 40 rearend in my 32.
