So, one thing to do is to always go on tours with Paul, and drive in front of him so that he can repair your car when it breaks.
Yeah, kinda feels like there’s some moral hazard here. [emoji16]

So, the bottom line to bring with you is:
1: Credit Card
2: AAA
3: Paul
And I forgot - can of industrial wet wipes for that purpose.Forgot one thing on that huge list from #22 above
The Kitchen Sink.....Got to wash our hands after we fix the broken down car
lol
I don't use, or own a Tillotson. I am talking about other people. Back to my original point, which I believe has been lost on this tough crowd- I carry parts for OTHER PEOPLE's cars because it only takes one in a group tour that breaks down, and we all have to pull over and have a "roadside seminar". In the interest of time, I carry stuff so that I can get the other cars going again so we eventually reach our destination and don't have to scrap a trip.
This is a very tough crowd. Why so negative when someone wants to be extra prepared??
And chances are, if you have #3 you probably won’t need #1 or #2.
But you might find yourself on YouTube…
what about a spare muffler?? I haven’t seen that mentioned yet.
Come to think of it, one of our guys lost his tailpipe on a tour I was on. Lost the rear clamp bolt. We found another one among us and on we went.what about a spare muffler?? I haven’t seen that mentioned yet.
Not to worry, Paul has one...![]()
Regarding A drivers back in the ‘30’s not carrying a lot of spare components, that was costly for the time and there were plenty of independent and Ford garages all over to get you on your way. Not to mention regularly servicing your car.
The irony of that is there are still plenty of "independents" (-fellow Model-A owners) wherever you travel that will have parts that will most likely get you going again.
