a machinist can bush them. It involves boring the old journals, inserting bushings and boring them to fit the cam bearings.

Hey J and M,
So, bush or NEW cam w/oversize journal = remedies.
Would you address costs of each , and IYO, which you prefer to do as builder.

PS..was just at a shop when a local guy brought in some exotic OHV stuff for work (even owner didn't know id of head). Anyway, also brot in A short block...done years ago/not finished, by the late, noted builder...Jay Steel. First time that I've seen a bronze bushed A block...with full oil pressure plumbing..all internal. NICE:) Why this shop? He does work for the likes of J. Leno and Nethercut museum, etc..
