Threads changing direction.

Take a look at the recent thread on trans. strength. Great stories from 40's and 50's at the end. On the old Barn you could see when a thread changed direction from the subject line. Here I think we will miss a lot if we don't follow every thread.

If you're changing topics, you can...

If you're changing (or altering) the topic and do a full blooded reply (not a quick reply,) you can type in a new title as I did here. It would be nice if topic changers did that. But the changed title still doesn't show up on the Forum index. There's probably a way to show the index with all the posts on a thread though.

There's probably a way to show the index with all the posts on a thread though.

Go to "Display Modes" in the red bar at top. In the drop down there is "hybrid mode" that opens a window that makes the thread look like the old Fordbarn display.

The solution to the problem is to post a new thread when the subject matter changes. Simple as that.

I think the heading is very important. One of the past posts was flathead fun.Don't get me wrong it is fun.But 1 year from now if you were asking about pulling motor out of a f1 thats a good thread. title " Engine removal f1 " would be good.

Where is display modes in or on the red bar?

Directly above the first post on this page, far right. Click on it and options will drop down.
