And wouldn't you know it.....that shadow drove the car 38 miles today.

I think you are looking at the shadow of the right front fender and the headlight.

Are you sure that is your shadow?

It really looks as if the snow is reflecting the light behind you(or were you carrying a flashlight?), and it is forming a shadow of the front tire, fender, and headlight shell.

Unless they are particularly talented... and can mimic my movements.... I don't think the headlight and fender participated.

When I stepped to the side... so did the shadow.

When I asked the headlight about it... it shed some light on the subject, which made it go away. The fender had no comment on the matter but kept the wheel covered.

as i was walking back to my car last night i stopped short due to seeing a person lurking in front of the car.

After a moment i cautiously approached and the the person barely moved.

It was another moment or two before my mind figured it out.

Here's the question: Where is the person?

only the shadow knows !
