I see in somebodys pictures a nice little low RPM tach on and A steering colomb. I'm thinkin I need one for my speedster. what and where are you guys using them?

Hi, I have a "Westach" Tachometer that is perfect for the model A. The gauge is from 0 to 3500 RPM and is the correct size for the rest of the gauges. It is universal for either 6 or 12 volt (except for the light) so specify if ordering. I don't remember the cost but I've had it for about 8 years and am very satisfied. You can google their site for info. Good luck!

Sorry , DON'T use this link , for some reason its coming up as BAD .
The item number is # 152387287056

Here is mine. Westac I think. Bought from Berts about two years ago. Reads to 3500. Simple hookup - one wire to hot/battery. one wire to ground. one wire to distributor side of coil. Small size is not obnoxious. Going to add a temp gauge some day. Custom bracket mounts to steering column.

Oops, for some reason the picture will not load. Will try to add picture later. For now I have to leave to meet frien at Swap Meet.

If you have 12 neg ground, you can do what I did. I bought from Jegs a Bosch tach FST7906 $31.99.

My friend, Bill, has a tiny stick on tach, with 2 skinny wires. I'm sure 1 is a ground & 1 goes to the coil. It has a battery inside it.
A LOOOONG time ago I looked it up---Seems I remember a name like, "TINY-TACH"???---BUT, I have trouble remembering whut wuz for BREAKFAST???? & I even cooked it MYSELF??

try again for loading pix of my tack. still no go for uploading. Pix taken with my camera and loaded into my harddrive.

I don't remember where I bought these but they are VDO gauges. I have a full pressurized engine to go with the oil pressure gauge.I believe the tach is 12v neg ground. It can be set for 4, 6 or 8 cylinders. I think I got them from Summit Racing.

Hey Beater,
Now, if you consider going mechanical / cable driven tach, you have an unlimited choice of neat old tachs !

Thanks Ryan for getting things back to our normal. Change confuses us.

Now, here is my tack set up. Go back and read my first post for details. ken
