Here a photo of a late 1940's Sun Tach I found on ebay last fall. A couple months ago I found the 6V/4cyl sending unit to use with it. I updated the sending unit with a small 2 amp power supply to replace the single 1.35 volt mercury battery. It's working great and will be mounted as soon as the weather breaks here in southern NY.

You can order a low RPM tach from Classic Instruments in Michigan. A bit pricy, but worth it to me. I also have a small tach on another A, however it is difficult to read.

I still think a Modern Wisconsin V-4 would be SUPERB, in a Model A
Chief always wanted to do that!
