Thank you BUT not signed up!!You might want to post your question over on the HAMB as well if you haven't done so already.
Thank's Michael, I think I might have a bad transformer....Mine was working fine THEN all of the sudden was intermittent and then stopped!!!Both Mine have mark's LED Conversion. No issues after daily use for 4 years since converting and literally probably 750 hours on it since on the main one I use which is a 504 as well. The Coil and or coil voltage is not relevant as the pickup signal is only from the opening and closing of the points on each lobe relative to the shaft, unless the coil is completely fried and in "open loop".
Robert,
If a coil has faulty open loop windings it will cause issues. While you need to have something (I.E. Coil) attached to ensure downward pressure on the breaker plate; I use the modern coil adapter plate rather than a actual coil to eliminate the possiblility of a faulty coil skewing with the machine. Tap the the red wire to the ground wire of the machine and at only one arrow should momentarily light if it does not then the machine has a issue.
Yes and you're welcome, glad to have mine lighting back up and working like it should!!!Appreciate the update on your sun tester. Mark is a great resource of parts and information and they are great machines.
