Hey Paul
Can the crossover holes be totally covered with something?
I did this on one of my flatheads with dual carbs, and other than taking a bit longer to warm up, everythings fine. Just wondered what others may have done? Maybe a piece of asbestos?
Thanks
Jim
Used to use a thin piece of SS cut to fit in the race cars years ago. Keeps the heat from under the carb and never caused a problem. However, I would remove the heat riser butterfly so you don't restrict the exhaust on that side during warm up. In a street application, it will take a bit longer to heat up in cold weather.
