Re arching front spring

I'm sure that's a copyright no no. I picked my copy up off eBay or you might call mafca

Do spring shops heat treat the leaves, after re-arching them?
Bill W.

Many moons ago when I was overloading my van with racing motorcycles, tools, and pit crew, I broke many rear springs. The local spring shop always heat treated their repairs. How did I know? The rubber bushes were always burnt out.

Problem finally solved by putting one ton springs in a half ton van.

Completely off topic, but it was a Ford van.

thats the quick and dirty way of removing old bushings. Get all 4 old bushings out in about a minute VS messing aroung with presses etc- they probably needed the bare spring eyes to get correct measurements and to put it in thier jig.
