quickchange question

Didn't someone used to make a "Fake" Quick change for banjo rear ends? I'm not talking about those stick on ones from Speedway. It looked like a QC, was aluminum, but just replaced the stock center section.
Just curios if anyone has seen those.

I had one back in the 60's, not a Q/C just looked like a regular banjo r/end, I think orosco reproduces today.
