Could some body post a picture of the 1928 AR front fender and a regular 1928-29 so I can hopefully see the difference between the two?? Thanks in advance.
Ron The fenders on the truck Are wider were they attach on top of splash and have forged braces and are wider on the flat compared to any other 28-29 fenders I have and the splash is tapered. They look the same to me as Charles Reese posted. I have never lifted the cab to verify year Month. Its raining to hard to have a look at the reinforcing. I was useing page 13-3 of the standards top view for comparison.Dennis,
I believe your fenders are 2nd or 3rd generation fenders ? The type fender braces and the rienforcing type in the fender bead at the fender brace will confirm the type.
Look at the wide flat area on the photos posted by Charles Reese above; these are very early fenders. There is also a difference in rienforcing where the fender bolts to the running board.
