Optima 6 volt battery

Having seven cars the use 6V batts. seems I'm always needing a battery. I have used Interstate for yrs. but the last time I went to buy one they had changed their post design. They weren't round but had two flat sides & there was something else that had changed that I didn't like so I didn't buy one. I went to Pacific Power Batt. who gives our car club a discount & bought an Excide which is doing well. I do have an Interstate in my 35 Ford which is still going after 12 yrs. so I can't complain about that.

Regarding polarity safe chargers, the better ones have a pos.output lug on top,so you can "trick' them on. After watching a co-worker drag a battery across the shop,I showed him that feature.(Here's yur sign) As far as battery quality,I was shocked that INTERSTATE only offered a 6 month warranty on the group 1 that I had priced. This seems low for the quality they generally promote. Ned in MD

I got over 12 years on an Interstate 6 volt battery that my neighbor gave me, but have had bad luck with Intersate 12 volt batteries. My 12 volt lawn tractor battery didn't even last one summer. I lifted the mover up about 45* to pull grass out of the blades and carefully set it back down, but that did it for the 4 month old battery.
