New low voc paints info.

Ok here's the deal...
Here in Canada they have been phasing out most of the paints we are familiar with. By the end of this year, or sooner:eek:... PPG acrylic urethane as we know it will be N/A.
I believe this has already happened in most of Europe and certain states...California?
I can't get much info at this point on the new "low voc" paints, as the transition has caused a frenzy at the local paint stores....nobody seems to know what to expect.

*My question* ....has anybody on here tried the NEW low voc single stage acrylic urethanes, & might possibly give me ANY idea what to expect in terms of sprayability and performance:confused::confused:
I'd rather not rush out and buy my paint now... as the car is far from ready for paint and I'd rather not have expensive paints sitting around.
Is there hope that the NEW stuff will give us acceptable results on our Model A's?

Thanks to all for the help & advice with black urethane earlier today. You guys have some beautifull cars!:)

Craig, do you have a KMS store in Parksville or Nanaimo? I thought I seen a few months back in their flyer that they would be stocking PPG acrylic urethane paints and would be "low voc" compliant.

Doug that's good to know.
No KMS here or Nanaimo but I've purchased from them at swap meets.
We deal with Lordco for PPG products, but we're right on the cutting edge here...using up the last of the old toners ...then there's no more:eek:.
I only have a few days at best to decide, but thinking it might be wise to not panic. I recall in the early 80's when I was painting full time and all the growing pains with base/clear coat....they kept introducing the "best system yet"...several times... till they finally got it right. (I don't want base/clear...that's just an example)
It would just be interesting to hear what guy's in California are experiencing with the lower voc paints???

ANY info is good at this point:D
