Are attendance numbers at USA national meets increasing, remaining sort of constant, or declining?
I'm sure Dave asked this question when our club informed the general Australian movement that National Meets look like passing into history after 2028 because the majority of states (Qld, NSW and SA) have said they cannot host another. No reason was given but I suspect it is because of the ageing of members.
Personally, I will greatly miss the national meet but our state snd the one other remaining one cannot carry the whole load. (Vic and WA)
FWIW, it is only 4 weeks until we leave on our trip to this year's meet which will be about 10,000 miles round trip.
That was the reasoning behind my question. Just finding out if it is unique to Australia, or are other countries struggling as well with organising and numbers etc.I'm sure Dave asked this question when our club informed the general Australian movement that National Meets look like passing into history after 2028 because the majority of states (Qld, NSW and SA) have said they cannot host another. Actually, if I ever get to Australia, I would try to plan around a Model A event down there. Lots of "touring" cars and maybe a Ute or two.
