I'm set on what I'd like to do, I'm getting the books and making a trip to Ohio to Gollers Hotrods before I pick the engine up to see how much it would be and to get a relationship built with the builder. I figure a 8BA (276?) with mild cam (good idle) port/polish and headers and the right ignition timing and if they make em E3 plugs, and full oil system with 4 ring pistons Should put me at 150 horse. Along with a tremec 5 speed, an 8 inch rear end with 4:05 gears.

Body and frame: Brookville roadsters in Ohio, 32 roadster frame, (I'm gonna tell em a Flathead is going in, with Tremec 5 speed and 8 inch rear end with 4:05 gear case. Antique green like in the avatar, with a plad bench seat. I'm gonna try to get vinyl flooring BLACK, Same plad for the rumble seat. I think so cal gages, with fender pit gard insert, hidden door handles.

Details: vitage wheel covers chrome with black wheels, chrome moon tank on the front end, old style shifter handle ya know the ones with the bends in them. Vintage tires but don't know what size would work.

Electical: 12 volt, lat 60's gen, and battery is going to be in the trunk, push button start, with a master battery switch along with a distributor switch to cut the juice to the ignition when Im at the store, gonna hide my starter button under the dash.

Cooling: Griffin radiators cross flow radiator (IF POSSIBLE), New water pumps,I heard they have better machening surfaces. Pressureised. 14 PSI

Brakes: Self adjusting brake setup and a 50's fanned brake drum covers, with residual valves, and adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.

Clutch: Hydraulic clutch. Performance clutch

Suspinsion/steering: 32 front suspinsion and 32 rear suspinsion, vega steering system or stock (if I can locate one)

Sound like I got it all or am I missing something? :) My mind is set.

I knew I forgot something? Fuel pump and a choke. will the factory pump work well but how long will it last? Seems like you'd want one at the bottom of the tank on the frame to push the fuel. But the biggest one is choke, or is that a guessing game? Take last winter and the one before that,my Willys MB jeep always three cranks and a pump and it was running before I let off the key. The fuel pump thing is just a question if I have to let it stay stored like in winter time.

Sounds like you've got AT LEAST $80K-$100K taking-up extra space in your checkbook. Good on ya! DD
No sir friend just three years out of HS and been hard looking for a job, grandparents are elderly and got the farm to take care of. A ways off but d very noticeble light in my mind.

you can't do the work yourself??....save you a lot of money, etc...V8Coopman was guessing cost of build....Mike

.........grandparents are elderly and got the farm to take care of.

JD...You've only been here for two days now and already have 70 posts under your belt. At the current rate, you're gonna pass Ken, Ct.'s total number of posts in a month. Where do you find the time to do all your hot rod research, your posting on here, and still have time left-over to take care of the farm? You're kind of amazing, on steroids! DD

V8COOPMAN;

No sir no drugs just love and faith in Jesus. And a full blooded lab for company and 4-wheeler. See my grandparents are not able to move around that well so I'm cooped in the house. :) All I have time to do is research and feed the cattle. The dog rides the 4-wheeler and will jump off if a snake or anything is in our path, shes friendly and likes her 4-wheeler, I can start it up and she'll be 120 feet away and when she hears that starter she knows ride time :) (I dont know if you cn see that image. Me and sandy.
