Model AA shifter

I have a 30 AA, the shifter came out of the transmission. There was a spring there along with a short piece of what looks to be a pin. Can't seem to figure out how this goes back together. Any help would be appreciated. Pictures below.

If you are talking about the shift lever, then it may be the spring and trunion pin at the top of the shift tower that bolts onto the transmission. There were two caps that held the shift lever on the transmission shift tower. I believe the earlier one was pinned while the later one had threads and was screwed onto the shift tower. Both had a pin that fit in a hole drilled on the shift tower. The pin is about 1/4 inch in diameter and maybe 3/4 inches long (going from memory). It fits into a slot cut in the hemisphere-shaped trunion of the shift lever that sits in the shift tower and keeps the shift lever from rotating. The spring would then go between the cap and the upper part of the shift lever trunion. When the cap was placed on the shift tower, the spring would keep the shift lever from moving up. I'll try to get some pictures this evening if no one else beats me too it.

I finally got some pictures of it

Notice the holes in the cup on the shift lever? Also the holes in the top of the shift tower? There are supposed to be pins in those holes to hold the assembly together.

Okay one more question, is there a trick to make sure I get the shifter in correctly or should it just slide in
