I am always amused at a good oil thread in the making and when people get so flustered that they spend more time in providing their own professional resume than in providing a simple explanation that it is all based on their own opinion and everyone should do what makes them happy or feel secure.
Me, I sit on the right hand of God.......... by the way, he asked me to pick him up a quart of MMO the next time I went to Wally World.
I always use 4 oz per 10 gal. on my own Model A's (Don't fill the tank to the top when gassing up so expansion is not an issue), but what ever floats your boat as I have yet to see any oil thread won and finalized over such. I seldom put it in with every single tank full, but maybe every other or every third. I actually laugh at these sort of challenges as the archives at Ahooga were filled with them and i assume the same goes for fordbarn, too.
My 82 year old friend who died a year or so back had a Piper Cub with a Model A Ford motor in it also used MMO. The aviation industry is not ruled by any one person, so opinions can vary even there. He doped planes for the Confederate Air Force out of Abilene, Tx. for years and did parachute work, too. He had an excellent resume of being an expert with planes and vintage cars, as well.
I got to get off to Wally World, as God put a rush job on my assignment.
