My valves have been a little noisy lately(1936 221 c.i.) so my girlfriend and I decided to go to the parts house and that she would drive the coupe.Within 2 blocks she started complaining about the brakes."Your brakes suck! This car doesn't stop at all like my car and I'm afraid to drive it!You really should fix them! What's wrong with this car? I don't feel safe driving it!" So,does 4 ounces of oil to 10 gallons of gas sound about right?

if you want to improve [shorten] the stopping distance, i would add at least 6oz. per tank full!

I'm thinkin you may want more noise from the valves to drown out other noise about brakes ?

Sounds like you need a new girlfriend and a case of MMO... When I was married to my ex wife she wouldn’t ride in any of my “old cars” so I took them just about every time I went out…

4oz/10 gallons should help the valves quiet down if they are sticking. Quieting down the GF, not so much. Good luck with that.

I had trouble with my snow blower up here in Canada. It coughed and bucked and had to run on full choke to keep going. In desperation I put in a few ounces and within 10 minutes it started to smooth out. Now after a few minutes I can set the choke down a couple of notches. Still needs a carb job in the summer. Great stuff.

Vic.I can relate to that. When I was married to my ex-wife,I had a 31 coupe.I sure miss that car.It cost lots of money but it never complained.

As mentioned above maybe she should drink the case of MMO!! OR 10 gallons of gas sound about right?"

My ex wife gave me an ultimatum; she said either the cars go or she would go... I gave it some thought, and told her I'd miss her... and I asked her where I could drop her off...;)

That's awesome! Good one...

I'm thinking of doing a shot of MMO since it seems to work so well with what ever it's put into.

We found the brake cross-shaft was badly worn in our '36. If you want advice PM me. We also gained grip by straightening the brake rods.

As for the GF, hopefully she has other redeeming qualities.

'Your brakes suck'....ouch! As to your mixing formualtion, 4 in 10 sounds good, but I put a whole can in ('36) full tank..works great! Now as to good formula for solving current GF/old car mixture... good luck!! BTW...is she complaining about mechanical or hyd brakes?

What is it about a lot of gals who will not/do not like to ride in vintage autos...tooo much MMO odor..what?
