Does anyone have any ideas on lowering my truck without using a drop axle on the front. Can I take out leaf springs and do it.Thanks Gary

Depends on how far you want to go. I've used posies dropped spring set for the front a few times and they are two leaves which are safer than a single mono leaf spring.

I have Posies front and rear reversed eye 3 in. drop all around, stock axle in front, 3 in. drop in rear. No altering of the hangers because of the design of the spring . Will use short shocks. Ken

thanks,
bill

Ive got the same problem with a stock 49 f1 was going to take the springs to a springshop to dearch and take out every other leaf. Is there a source for a reversed eye mainleaf??

Sacremento Ford in Cali. has the main leaf reversed eye or Speedway Motors where i got my springs from, which is the whole springpack. Did a 47 Ford PU with same set- up. No bumpsteer or modifcations. If you use a drop axle then you will have to use dropped tie rod ends and you might have a problem with the draglink.

Posies springs have only one eye reversed on each front spring pack and rear spring pack. Ken do yours have both eyes reversed?
