Flathead Well-known member Mar 21, 2017 #7 Bottom one is a Simmons as previously stated. Looks similar to the F1B but is a Simmons. The drain plug on fuel bowl is good way to tell.

TinCup Well-known member Mar 22, 2017 #8 F1B is very different than the Simmons. The F1B is pot metal and the Simmons is cast.
Flathead Well-known member Mar 22, 2017 #9 The Simmons was made in pot metal and also cast iron, I have examples of both.
R Richard Lorenz Senior Member Mar 22, 2017 #10 The bottom carburetor is definitely the pot-metal Simmons. I also own a cast-iron Simmons, and a cast-iron Simmons that was made for a stationary use (GAV plugged up and a place for a remote throttle control).

Ron in Quincy Well-known member Mar 22, 2017 #13 I was in error when I said the bottom carb was a F1B, it is a pot metal Simmons. Ron
