Where can I find the proper size that will fit the spring shackles?

Need a lil more info. On your shackle pins, is the hole threaded or smooth? Threaded, see what size tap fits. Smooth, see what size drill bit fits. select your Zerk's from there.

The modern zerks from Bratton are too large for the holes in the shackle. I've decided to just reinstall the orig fittings. I'll use the grease gun nozzle fittings from Bratton to lube the orig, then change the fitting for modern. Nothing should have been this difficult if only the things from Bratton would only work. Consider this issue done and over.

Does anyone know the difference in the measured diameter of the new vs old grease fittings? This info might be useful to Bratton's for quality control since I doubt they manufacture the offending part.
