fuse burning out on drivers side near starter?

I have brought it to TDC and adjusted the points now about a million times and still couldn't get the car to run right.

It was always somewhat the same result, after adjustment it would not start. Points weren't opening enough and no spark is what I'm guessing.

So I decided to just try and find "the sweet spot" and see if that would work. I advanced and retarded the timing not using a feeler gauge just a bit at a time and she runs AWESOME!!

I thought I had electrical gremlins, it would pop and lose power constantly and now all of that is gone, couldn't be happier.

I will be on the hunt for that trans mount/grommet for the main power wire.

Here is a question from a non electrical guy, where is your oil filler cap? Plus that is a strange looking generator cut out box. Is it an A cutout or some other type that may be causing your problem???

I took the oil cap off to do some plastic bag flutter tests on the engine. I'm not sure what the generator is from.

That battery cable grommet is available from the Model A parts houses. You can buy one that works for very little money, or one shaped like the original for a lot of money. I don't know why one is so much more than the other. It seems like either one should be the same amount of work to make, and the price should be the same.
