Fuel pressure gauge

39 deluxe, electric fuel pump & dual edelbrok carbs.

Planning on installing a fuel pressure gauge.

Can it go in before mech fuel pump or does have to go in after the fuel pump & right before the carbs?

The mechanical pump sucks the fuel from the tank, so putting a gauge before the pump will give a negative pressure reading (if the gauge was even capable of reading negative).

So, the answer is after the pump.

I drained the liquid from the fuel pressure gauge to make it read a constant pressure, otherwise the needle would drop back to zero.

Do you just have the mechanical pump there for looks? Also i just put a k&n brand fuel pump on my 48 f1 and it is the only one i found on the market to have an internal regulator so no need for a regulator inline.fyi.
