Front steering arm Question

I am thinking of replacing both steering arms, which connect to the Drag link and then the tie rod. Can the tie rod ends be removed from the two round joints of the steering arms without removing backing plate or other things ? Or can I remove the nuts on each steering Arm (left and right side) and then drive out the arms together, with the tie rod still connected to each Arm. Thanks for your advise on this. You can do either way but if the king pins are good just drive both steering arms out and take it down in 1 assembly.

With your front end on jack stands, you should be able to turn the front end to the extreme right and left to expose the ends of the tie rod, back off plugs and remove the tie rod; also remove the drag link; this leaves the steering arms bear and easier to remove with out fighting with the tie rod and drag link.
